With so many options available in the market, it’s easy to incorporate CBD for health benefits. While the benefits caused by CBD are creating headlines, what CBD does to our body is still not widely known.
CBD is a compound found in the cannabis plant, and it doesn’t make you high; instead, it produces many health benefits. CBD affects the body by triggering many receptor systems. CBD targets the serotonin 1A receptor, which is responsible for controlling anxiety and stress. Evidence suggests that CBD activates this receptor leading to automatic reduction of stress and ultimately anxiety caused by it.
Another receptor that CBD affects is Vanilloid receptor type 1. It is involved in inflammation and pain sensation. Studies have proved that CBD produces an inhibiting effect on vanilloid receptor type 1, causing a reduction in pain.
CBD also raises the level of Anandamide, which is one of the most important cannabinoids of the body. It is recognized as a mood enhancer, and it also affects appetite, memory, and pain.
CBD’s benefits are immense, and all the studies are also pointing out that CBD can have positive effects in psychosis, pain, inflammation, anxiety, and spasm.
